Whether you're recording your first song, an EP, or an album, Studio 2.0 is built around a personal and collaborative approach to recording.
Every recording project begins with a conversation. Before I ever turn on a microphone, we'll spend some time talking about your music. We'll discuss the project, answer questions, and put together a plan that fits both the music and the artist.
Studio 2.0 was intentionally designed to be a relaxed and collaborative environment where ideas can be explored and performances can develop naturally. Every artist is different. Every song is different.
My goal is simple: You have songs. I want to help you get them recorded.
Recording
Once all the recording is finished, it's time to pull everything together.
Mixing is where the individual tracks are balanced, refined, and shaped into a finished song. It's the stage where all the pieces begin working together as a single recording.
You'll have the opportunity to listen, provide feedback, and tell me what you're hearing. If adjustments are needed, I’ll make them and then we’ll review the mix again together.
My goal is simple: Help you create a mix that sounds the way you hear it in your head.
Mixing
Sometimes a song arrives fully formed. Other times, it just needs a little help getting across the finish line.
If you're interested, I'm happy to share ideas and suggestions based on what I'm hearing. That might involve instrumentation, harmony parts, vocal arrangements, layering, or simply trying a different approach to a performance. These are always suggestions, never requirements.
At the end of the day, it's your song and your project. My job is simply to help you explore possibilities and make informed decisions along the way.
My goal is simple: Help you create the best version of your song.
Production Guidance
Sometimes a song needs something extra. It might be a drum track, an additional instrument, a harmony part, or another element that helps complete the recording.
If appropriate, I can make use of virtual instruments and drum software to help support your project. In some situations, an outside musician may also be an option if one is available and it makes sense for the project.
Every project is different, and we'll discuss those possibilities together during the process.
My goal is simple: Help you give the song what it needs.
Additional Resources
Once the recording is finished, the next question is often, "Now what?"
If you want to release your music, I can help you understand some of the options available. That might include topics such as copyright registration and music distribution.
I've personally gone through the process of copyrighting original music and distributing it through the release of two full-length albums containing 20 original songs. While every artist's situation is different, I'm happy to share what I've learned along the way.
I don't provide legal, publishing, or distribution services. My role is simply to help point you in the right direction and share my own experiences navigating the release process.
